Puertoricans love a party.  So it only stands to reason that gay Puertoricans REALLY like a party!  Pride in Puerto Rico occurs over two consecutive weekends in June.  The first weekend is San Juan Pride in San Juan and the second is Cabo Rojo Pride (see more on Cabo Rojo and Boquerón on another link) in Boquerón.  In both cases, it is a big event, and like Thanksgiving and the Christmas holidays, many Puertoricans from the diaspora in New York and Florida fly back to visit and reunite with old friends during the week-long period.
