Naguabo Cradle of the Great Artists
About ninety minutes from from Casa Clara Vista, is one of my favorite places in Puerto Rico; the charming and Riviera-esque city of Naguabo. Although one has to circumnavigate El Yunque to get there, the charming malecon or esplanade along its harbor is well worth the effort. The drive itself is even inspiring as you come along the coast of the Viequez Passage where road meets ocean in many dramatic spots. One of our favorites for a Sunday afternoon, we greatly recommend a visit!!!
Symbols of Naguabo: The flag with its crossed machetes; a map of the municipality showing the locations of the eleven barrios or "townships;" the municipality's coat of arms featuring the five towers of a Spanish municipality.
